Hola!
Ignacio Ginestar. Estudiante.
Hello! I’m Ignacio Ginestar, a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at the Universidad Catolica de Cuyo, San Juan. I found this presentation very interesting and the potential utility of artificial intelligence in biochemistry and the broader healthcare field. I wanted to know if you have any specific information on whether this is already being applied or planned to be implemented in Argentina in the coming years. Additionally, I would like to know if you consider it important to start acquiring skills in these areas for the future or if you see its implementation in this country as something that is still far off.

Dear Ignacio,
Hence, I am not working in Argentina, I can not anticipate exact predictions about implementation of AI in Argentina. However, as a worldwide trend, it would be quite possible for Argentina to adapt the environment to reap AI’s benefits in near future. In my opinion as a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, you should acquire these skills not only for practical utility but also for academic studies.
Best regards
Hikmet

Hello, first of all, congratulations on the presentation. Second, I wanted to ask you, for those of us who are interested in this topic and work in clinical laboratories, what training do you recommend? Are there any specific AI master’s programs, courses, or training for clinical laboratory work?

Dear Sara,
Many thanks for participating in my presentation. You can enroll in some online courses to acquire these skills. Actually formal MSc or any graduate school training is not necessary. However, formal training may extend your academic environment and future collaboration.
For online courses I recommend coursera and udemy courses. I would start with basic python and continue with machine learning courses.
If you are more interested in statistics you may prefer R programming, which have extensive packages with regard to laboratory medicine such as RefineR.
Best regards
Hikmet
